**Business Development Manager Responsibilities**:
- You'll be researching the needs of other companies and learning who makes decisions about purchasing.
- Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events.
- Prospect and qualify new sales leads based on specific industries, sectors and companies using traditional and more innovative methods
- Schedule meetings and presentations with prospects, using gap selling techniques to understand how our products align to their needs
- Track all sales activities in company CRM system and keep current by updating account and contact information regularly
- Develop strong, ongoing relationships with prospects and customers
- Communicate prospect and customer product pain points to appropriate departments
- Maintain a well-developed pipeline of prospects
- Meet and/or exceed individual KPIs and targets
- Working in a collaborative team of 4-8 professionals to exceed team targets
- Coordinate with other team members and departments to optimize the sales effort
- Collaborate with Line Manager and VP, Sales on prospect and pipeline management
**Business Development Manager Requirements**:
**Essential**
- A background in sales, business to business is preferred.
- Proven ability to continually close sales and upsells.
- Confident and outgoing personality.
- Ambitious and self - disciplined.
- Good time management.
- Excellent Telephone Sales and Customer Service.
- Able to handle rejection.
- Confident to travel globally.
**Desirable**
- A background in Events Industry.
- B2B / B2C Sales.

**Location**: Newport Office - Wales (1 day in the office & 4 days from home)
**Contract Type**: Permanent
**Hours**: Full Time, 37.5 per week
**Salary**: £28,000 - £35,000 + OTE £60,000 - £80,000 (1st year)
