Engagement Tutor

Are you looking for flexible working hours during the day? Do you enjoy supporting disengaged pupils?

You will be working with pupils who are not currently attending school. These pupils have gaps in their education and some have high levels of anxiety. Depending on the pupils' situation, tuition can take place in their home, community centre or online. Each pupil is allocated between 10 and 15 hours of tuition per week so typically, you will be working 2-3 hours per day, per student.

Randstad Education will work around your availability to match you with the most suitable students in your area. Depending on your availability, we can fill your day up with as many students as you can manage.

Experience in working with vulnerable students who are struggling to access education is essential.

Responsibilities as an Engagement Tutor:

- Working with students in their homes, community centres or public libraries, delivering education to disengaged students
- Planning and delivering individual sessions based upon the student's targets, skills, interests and complex and emotional needs
- Documenting and providing evidence of learning by reporting on individual sessions
- Providing a safe and engaging environment for your student(s) and to make Safeguarding the highest of priorities

- Non-judgmental, calm and patient
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- A creative approach to delivering the curriculum, personalised to each individual student
