**Purpose of the position**

Pearson TQ are looking for a creative, dedicated individual to support our team as a Content Developer within our Apprenticeships and commercial short course provision. The responsibilities of the Content Developer include creating high quality, original digital learning content across our portfolio of qualifications, courses and Apprenticeship programmes, as well as copywriting, proofreading, graphics and technical work.

The Content Developer will play a key role in creating engaging and inspiring digital and face to face learning content to support programmes run across the Pearson TQ business, including Business Administration, Coaching and Leadership & Management. You will ensure our Apprenticeship programme offer supports and enhances our business offering and delivers the customers, and business, messages effectively. The role requires you to work closely with a wide range of key stakeholders, both inside and outside the Pearson business, therefore a proven record of excellent interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills are essential.

You will be a motivated individual who is passionate about Apprenticeships and creating engaging and informative teaching and learning materials. It will be someone who is creative and can produce innovative teaching and learning content using a range of techniques, who is passionate about learning and is able to create engaging content for both blended/ online and more traditional, face to face, learning methods.

You will be Home Based, with travel as needed, so you should have a suitable working space.

**Core tasks and responsibilities**
- Creation of inspirational, informative and engaging training content for our learning programmes that can be used across blended or face to face learning methodologies
- Developing creative ideas and new, innovative ways of delivering content as well as keeping up to date with the latest market trends
- Creating graphics and photo/video editing, collaborating with internal design teams when necessary
- Prioritising and scheduling work effectively and efficiently, anticipating problems and adjusting the allocation of resources and time accordingly to meet stringent deadlines
- Contributing to, and working with, relevant internal and external stakeholders to develop, manage and implement content
- Proofreading as required
- Supporting delivery and quality teams with creation of materials as needed
- Administration and maintenance of systems to register content and assets being utilised
- Maintaining positive relationships with team members, business partners and all other stakeholders to ensure Pearson TQ retains and gains business
- Identify, complete and record appropriate annual Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities that maintain your ability to support the content creation for our programmes and Apprenticeships
- Attend standardisation and team meetings as required
- Assist in the support, delivery, assessment/verification of qualifications/programmes if/when required and within own skillset
- To act responsibly with data held by Pearson TQ that you may have access to as part of your role, adhering to the provided guidelines and policies and reporting any concerns as needed
- Adhere to all Pearson policies and procedures
- Be flexible over hours of attendance/work, including evenings and weekends where required
- Cover for other members of the team where required and directed to
- To undertake any other duties as may be required from time to time

**Training / Competencies**

**Essential**
- Proven experience of creating inspirational, informative and engaging training content for qualifications or Apprenticeship programmes across online and face to face learning platforms and can provide examples of recent work
- Energy, enthusiasm and a passion for developing creative learning, using innovative ways of delivering content as well as able to keep up to date with the latest market trends
- Experience of leadership and management within a range of types and sizes of organisation and hold a relevant leadership and management qualification or have significant occupational experience
- Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- Able to deliver content on-time and to budget with exceptional organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise and structure work schedules
- Strong creative skills and a keen eye for detail
- The ability to respond well and calmly to change in a fast-paced, agile environment and work well under pressure to tight deadlines
- Able to complete assigned or self-assigned tasks to time and to a high standard without supervision and prompting
- Able to translate given specifications into viable solutions using innovative methods
- Excellent editing and proofreading skills
- Exceptional levels of accuracy and attention to detail
