Senior Buyer sought for a Chippenham based manufacturer within the semiconductor industry offering development and progression. Part of a Global manufacturing brand employing over 17,000 people this role offers vast opportunities to move and grow through the wider brand.

The role would suit experienced buyers ideally from a manufacturing or engineering background. Applicants will have proven experience managing suppliers, monitoring key performance indicators and ensuring deliverables are met.

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you will lead a small team to ensure production deliverables are met. You will ensure the planning and delivery of direct and indirect materials across the site and parts are supplied on time for production, you will utilise the ERP system for this. You will report on key performance indicators and identify and implement improvements. You must ensure best practice is utilised to ensure audit compliance including both ISO 9001 and 1400.

The role:

- Lead a small team as part of the Global Business Supply Chain team
- Ensure the planning and delivery of direct and indirect materials across the site
- Utilise and manage the ERP system to ensure part are supplied on time for production
- Report on key performance indicators
- Work to identify and implement improvements to the internal systems and processes
- Work with internal teams, suppliers and customers to manage inventory levels
- Ensure best practice is utilised to ensure audit compliance including both ISO 9001 and 1400

The person:

- Experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Experience with ERP systems
- Strong Excel skills
- Attention to detail
- Experience working with commercial agreements, supplier relationship management and various types of contracts
