The St Bart’s Multi Academy Trust, in partnership with Governors, staff and children of St John’s Primary Academy are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic Premises Assistant to join our hard working and committed team.
- Visits to the school are encouraged and can be arranged by contacting the office.

**Job Overview**
- We are looking for someone who has:

- Experience in building and routine maintenance, caretaking and decorating
- The ability to ensure the safety, tidiness, security and comfort of school facilities and appropriately deal with any defects/hazards identified in the school premises, procedures and equipment.
- A personable manner and has a flexible approach to all duties undertaken
- The ability to prioritise work, acting on their own initiative

**About this Role**
- The purpose of the role is to provide support to the school regarding preventative maintenance, general building repairs, health & safety compliance and security. This includes:

- Opening/closing of school building
- Security
- Cleanliness
- Porterage
- Monitoring contractors
- Routine maintenance (joinery, plumbing etc) and refurbishment
- Minor repairs
- Advising the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) on suggested improvements to the general school environment
- Completing a cycle of periodic health & safety compliance checks
- Undertaking any training in order to keep up to date with current health & safety guidance.
