**Where will you be working?**

We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. We’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure.

This role will be within our **Demand management and network infrastructure team.**We look after 60 million meters and our teams provide advanced metering solutions to help manage demand for essential suppliers.

As a Trainee Meter Fitter you'll have the opportunity to work on behalf of Yorkshire Water installing Smart Meters on domestic properties and properties and we'll require you to travel in and around the entire Yorkshire area.

You'll be required to attend 4 week training programme on all aspects of External meter installation where progression to an excavation team with fantastic earning potential. You'll represent Yorkshire Water and M Group Water whilst carrying out your role and be able to communicate with members of the public, so bring a smile to work.

The role will be varying and you’ll be required to work outdoors in all weathers as well as walking and standing on uneven ground. You must also be able to work within a confined space, without restriction.
- As the role involves manual labour, including lifting, bending, and working outdoors in various weather conditions, we’ll need you to have a level of fitness which will allow you to complete tasks safely.

- Previous experience in utilities or groundwork
- Excavation experience
- UK driving license?
