We are currently recruiting for FULL & PART TIME FEMALE SUPPORT WORKERS to work with a lady who has an acquired brain injury living in her own home in the Kempston area of Bedford.

Our client speaks English and Punjabi so good communication skills are essential, and if you can speak both languages this would be advantageous. We are seeking to employ resilient individuals who can enable our client to reach her full potential.

Duties

You will be working within an energetic and dedicated team, with full flexibility to support the current team.

You will be working with our client on a 2:1 basis to ensure her complex daily personal care and welfare needs are met. As well as providing help with personal care, you will be supporting her to access the community whilst also helping around her home.

You will be expected to use verbal de-escalation techniques and provide our client with stimulation, encouragement and support with daily living activities. Our client has very challenging behaviour, therefore experience of working with individuals with challenging behaviour would be preferred.

You must have an enthusiastic personality, positive outlook on life and a caring attitude.

*You must have the flexibility to work both days and waking nights on a rota basis.*

Hours of Work:
96-144 hours per month (Negotiable)

7.30am - 7.30pm - Day Shift

7.30pm - 7.30am - Waking Nights

A full UK driving licence is ideal but not essential

You will be a NON-SMOKER

An Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Check WILL be required

Rates of Pay:
£14.00 per hour for day shifts Monday to Friday - upon successful completion of competencies and training

£15.00 per hour for day shifts Saturday to Sunday- upon successful completion of competencies and training

£15.00 per hour for Waking night shifts Monday to Friday - upon successful completion of competencies and training

£16.00 per hour for Waking night shifts Saturday to Sunday - upon successful completion of competencies and training

Training rate £10.50 per hour
