**Driver (up to 3.5T GVW) & Warehouse Person**

Blitz Hire supply rigging equipment to the film production industry. Our clients are high profile film studios and film production companies.

We have a vacancy to join our Driving and Operation team as Driver (up to 3.5T GVW) & Warehouse Technician.

This role involves driving the company’s vehicles, up to 3.5T GVW, to deliver and collect goods & equipment from various suppliers and venue sites. This will include the loading and unloading of equipment, including always maintaining the company’s vehicles in a clean and presentable condition and acting as a public face of the business to its customers.

In addition to driving duties, the role includes working within the company’s warehouse, assisting in the preparation, testing, cleaning and packaging of the company’s equipment, as directed.

Day to Day
- Performing basic routine maintenance checks on company vehicles.
- Loading and unloading of equipment from vehicles and confirm it is safely loaded before driving.
- Assist with the preparation, testing, cleaning and packaging of the company’s rental equipment, within the company’s warehouse
- Driving the companies vehicles to deliver and collect equipment to various performance venues and sites around the South East and nationally.
- Adhering with legal obligation relating to driving vehicles up to 3.5T GVW.
- Ensuring delivery paperwork is signed by the appropriate person on site and returned to the Operations Manager daily.

Other duties may include
- Assisting rigging crew on-site with loading equipment in/out of a venue.
- General warehouse duties including use of a forklift.
- Keeping the company vehicles in a clean and presentable condition.
- Fuel, road tolls and running costs are accounted for and presented to the Transport Manager.

You will have:

- Valid Driving License
- Good communications / interpersonal skills. Fluent speaker of English language.
- Flexible and adaptable. Able to respond to short-notice changes in working hours and schedules.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proactive, self-motivated individual capable of working on their own initiative.
- The ability to work as a member of a team and to provide and receive input from other team members.
- Basic IT knowledge.

Renumeration - £15.00 p/h

Hours of work - 6am - 4pm. 50hrs including 1 hour lunch break.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 50 per week
