Communications Lead

**Who We Are Looking For**

Communications Lead to work with the Group Head of Communications and wider communications team to deliver clear, on-message, effective communications to all internal and external stakeholders, maintaining, building, and protecting the KCA Deutag and Kenera brands and providing communications counsel across the Group. Deputise for the Group Head of Communications when required.
**Responsibilities**
**Internal Communications**:

- Ensure regular communication for KCA Deutag and Kenera via Kompass, the company intranet and other appropriate internal channels to build knowledge, promote engagement, collaboration and engender a sense of belonging.
- Collaborate with Talent & Development to encourage colleague participation in/engagement with internal initiatives.
- Support the preparation of broader internal communications such as global webinars, investor calls, staff presentations/workshops and annual events.
- Provide ad hoc communications support for projects or initiatives as required and assist in the delivery of the Group’s D&I strategy.
**External**:

- Media Relations: Build successful relationships with KCA Deutag and Kenera media targets; draft editorial/news content; proactively target trade/wider media editorial features to secure coverage; attend interviews and provide communications counsel where required; coordinate reactive media response.
- Social Media & Website: Lead social media activity for KCA Deutag and Kenera; produce creative social media posts with a clear ‘call to action’ to promote engagement, drive traffic, CTR page impressions etc; upload to, monitor posts and analytics for social media feeds; maintain and post content to KCA Deutag and Kenera websites.
- Reports: Work with internal teams to create cyclical corporate reports e.g. annual Sustainability Report, Gender Pay Gap Report, ensuring clear communication and professional presentation.
- Marketing: Provide marketing support for KCA Deutag and Kenera, creating on-message/on-brand marketing assets - including promotional marketing material for exhibitions.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Support the Group Head of Communications in delivering KCA Deutag and Kenera stakeholder engagement activity.

**Crisis Communications**:

- Provide communications support for minor/major incident response - internally and externally; liaise with emergency services (where required); attend emergency/crisis media training exercises.
***Minimum Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s Degree - or equivalent - in Public Relations, Communications or Marketing
- German speaker desirable but not essential
***Experience**:

- Strong copywriting and project management skills.
- Experience of working with graphic designers/creatives in-house or via an agency.
- Experience of developing engaging content for LinkedIn and Twitter social media platforms.
- Internal and external communications experience including media relations and social media planning and management essential.
