Due to the funding available for the qualification associated the successful applicant must meet the Modern Apprentice funding age guidelines.

Your priorities will include:

- Provide a warm and friendly welcome and efficient reception service to staff, students and visitors to The Global Room and engage with students and visitors, answering queries and providing hospitality.
- Give clerical support to the Student Services drop in sessions, including IAS, Tier4compliance, EDI, Careers, DUSA and Go Abroad This will involve managing the calendar for The Global Room and provide support for events and activities held within The Global Room and at other locations within the University as required.
- Support the Co-ordinator and host cultural events, designing posters and promotional materials and source event materials and ordering catering supplies.
- Accurately input records and data, including sensitive/confidential data, into specified formats and systems and maintain stocks of materials in the Global Room, ordering hospitality supplies and stationary.
- Participate actively and flexibly in the work of the wider Student Services directorate, for example, provide ad hoc cover for absenteeism and holidays.

Who we’re looking for:

- Three Standard Grades at level 3 (or equivalent) including Maths and English or equivalent Core Skills at SCQF level 4
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal (face to face, and on the telephone),
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact appropriately with students, graduates, staff and employers
- Enthusiastic, well organised and versatile individual with strong customer service focus.
- Sound knowledge and experience of IT including a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages (including Access, Excel, Powerpoint and Word)
