**What this job involves**:
A Senior Surveyor/Associate level position is required to join our West End Offices Lease Advisory team.
You will play a key role in the delivery of the business and development plans to achieve the Team’s exciting goals. The role will focus on the West End. It could also involve slightly wider geographies, so experience of the wider London/south east market would be a benefit.
You would be joining a market leading central London Lease Advisory and Agency team. You will sit physically alongside our Agents to partner on opportunities. You will also have the support of 30+ Lease Advisory surveyors across JLL’s London and UK office network.
The primary aspect of the role will involve providing advice to JLL’s investor and occupier clients in connection to rent reviews, lease renewals and lease regearing. The individual will be able to provide general lease and rental advice to clients and colleagues across the firm.
**What your day-to-day will look like**:
Acting, with the support of the team, on your own transactional caseload.
Target business development opportunities working with colleagues within the team and other departments of the London office and wider firm.
Manage fee negotiations, billings, all team projects and debt recovery.
Inspecting and measuring client premises, compiling comparable evidence, assessing accurate rental values, reporting to clients.
Negotiating rent reviews, lease renewals, break deferment/removal.
Recommending settlements.
Preparation of Expert Witness reports.
Strategic lease advice.
Liaising with other business lines including Capital Markets, Agency and Rating.
**Desired or preferred experience and technical skills**:
Commercial acumen providing clients with the best solutions having the ability to identify opportunities beyond the immediate client brief.
Strong negotiation and quantitative skills, including analysis of complex data.
Ability to manage timelines and work under pressure to tight deadlines.
Engage, support and deal with multiple instructions.
Agile, courageous, innovative.
**Required Skills and Experience**:
Good working knowledge of the London market and client base would be preferable.
Strong written and oral communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
Experience of rent review, lease regear and lease renewal negotiations
Experience of Expert Witness process is desirable but not essential.
Enthusiastic, self-driven and collaborative.
RICS qualified.
