**If yes, then we need you to join our new Financial Inclusion Team within People’s Services.**

You will be responsible for providing a holistic package of support and interventions to residents across the district at risk of financial exclusion. Working on a casework basis, offering specialist support and advice on all aspect of income maximisation, welfare benefit and financial (and digital) capability. You will support with the case management of overpaid Housing Benefit.

As part of your role you will be supporting and representing people with complex needs or in vulnerable circumstances. You will be a key player in ensuring prompt and effective early action is taken to prevent people from going into a crisis situation to prevent homelessness.

You will work as part of a team responsible for the delivery of a high quality service to all customers across People Services.

**About You**:
You’ll be someone who has extensive knowledge of a wide range of benefits (including welfare reform) together with experience of working in an advisory role.

You will be able to demonstrate excellent customer service skills, as well as being confident to use your own initiative when supporting vulnerable customers and complex cases.

Your communication skills will be strong, and you will have the ability to negotiate with a range of external organisations.
