Campden BRI offers professional support to ensure your thermal processes consistently produce safe products. For over 100 years we’ve been at the forefront of food and drink thermal processing. Our team holds extensive experience in supporting processors within the UK and around the world regularly working with some of the world’s largest food and drinks companies so when you come to us, you know you are in safe hands. Our thermal processing team at Campden BRI can support you in three ways;
- Thermal process validation
- Processing consultancy
- Thermal process training

**Position**:
You will lead a small team of validation technologists (3-4 direct reports), in the delivery of scientific and technical projects for our thermal processing clients, with focus on the validation of thermal processes.
- Planning and managing own project work activities to meet project deadlines. These will be the more technically challenging validation and consultancy projects, many of which will involve travel to client sites in the UK and abroad
- Design and provision of training courses and presentations on external/internal training courses, seminars and symposia
- Development of the technical and professional skills of staff reports
- Oversight and management of the equipment, procedures and records used within the Thermal Processing team
- Responsible for the business development of thermal validation contract work; building client relationships, preparing/reviewing quotes and oversight of validation work bookings
- Responding to direct technical enquiries and requests for thermal validation advice

**Requirements**:

- Degree or equivalent in engineering or food technology
- A fundamental awareness of the importance of heat processing in the food industry
- At least several years work experience in a food production related setting
- Experience of working within an area of thermal processing
- for example retort sterilisation, pasteurisation or aseptic processing - would be advantageous
- Proven business development skills, with the potential and desire to develop these further
- Time management and financial awareness to facilitate effective project management
- Some experience of people management is advantageous
- Full UK/EU driving licence and eligibility to live/work in the UK. Ability to travel within the UK and Europe
