New Foundations Care are currently recruiting for a Support Worker to be based at Wasdale Court in Hull. The service provides support for up to 9 people with a learning disability and autism. The residents at our service lead active and busy lives doing the things they enjoy out and about in the community. The individuals we support are at the heart of all we do, we provide enabling support workers to people with learning disabilities, autism and other vulnerable adults which promotes their dignity, individuality, inclusion and the fulfilment of their potential.

**Key Duties**:

- To provide one to one support to individuals to enable them with day to day tasks such as general housekeeping, cooking, domestic tasks, attending appointments, laundry and shopping.
- Liaise with staff members to co-ordinate support and update support plans.
- To develop and sustain a positive working relationship with the individuals we support.
- Recording and documenting in care and health files and communication records for handovers.

**Key Skills/ Experience**:

- Excellent communication and the ability to communicate with individuals at all levels.
- Good written communication skills.
- Experience for supporting or caring for others, especially those with a learning disability either from family, employment or voluntary work.
- Health and Social Care Level 2 or 3 is desirable but not essential as we offer training and recognised qualifications.
