**Process Engineer**

We are actively seeking a Senior Process Engineer to provide process engineering expertise in order to develop industry leading technology and catalysts for an initial 6-month contract for our clients site based in the central London area. To apply, youshould have background in Refinery, Oil & Gas, or Petrochemical industry.

**Job purpose**:

- Simulate and prepare process flow diagram, heat and mass balance.
- Develop the material flow diagram with design conditions.
- Do the process calculations and prepare process specifications for various unit operations such as vessels, compressors, reactors, columns, heat exchanger.
- Do the hydraulic calculations and prepare process specification for pumps, control valves and other instruments.
- Do the relief flow calculation and prepare process specification for relief devices.
- Do SIL/LOPA calculations for complex control loops, prepare cause and effect diagram.
- Prepare flare load summary, effluent summary, Utility summary, production, and consumption summary.

**Qualifications/ knowledge/ experience**:

- Degree in Chemical Engineering
- Proven process engineering design experience with technical, safety and environmental aspects
- Proficient in use of Engineering Software, eg Hysys, ProII, Aspen+
- Experience in producing process engineering documents as part of a Basic Engineering
- Package (BEP) / Front End Engineering Design (FEED)
- Knowledge in relevant codes and standards e.g. API, ASME
- Familiar with P&ID symbology (simplified ISA)

**Personal skills and key competencies**:

- A self-motivated, proactive individual with high achievement drive and initiative
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Competent in using; Microsoft Word, Excel
- Ability to work to deadlines and maintain quality of work
- Ability to work within a team
