**The Company**
Axon Moore are exclusively recruiting a Financial Controller for International Sports business based in Greater Manchester. They are seeking an ambitious Financial Controller with excellent communication and management skills and a strong accounting background.
**About the role**
As the Financial Controller you will be responsible for the day to day running of the Finance department, working closely with the team and reporting into the General Manager and group CFO. You will be responsible for timely and accurate financial informationto support decision making process.
**Salary** - £60k - £65k depending on experience
**Location** - Trafford Park
**Main Duties**:

- Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
- Oversee operations of account department
- Creating monthly P&L and BS reports
- Responsible for control system, transaction processing and complying all accounting standards
- Maintaining and reporting of year end accounts and statutory accounts
- Prepare and analyse weekly cash flow statements, controlling cash flow and expenditures, analysis of Key metrics
- Leading and managing the audits
- Work closely with management to maintain healthy cash flow and working capital in the system
- Liaise with Group to share and implement best practices and reporting systems
- Banking/ Treasury - To ensure independent funding, working capital, factoring line set up for Debtors, Bank charges optimisation
- Tax involvement/ VAT Returns
- Part of monthly VAT audits and returns

**Person specification**:

- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification
- Experience within a similar position
- Excellent communication at all levels
- Commercial awareness
- Sap experience essential
- Strong planning and organisation skills essential
- Enthusiastic and self-motivated
- Driven and ambitious
- Excellent excel skills
- Retail experience desirable
