**Building Surveyor** **£30,984 - £33,486 per annum** **37 hours per week based across Nottingham City** **Permanent** Nottingham City Homes are looking for an experienced and organised building surveyor to undertake a range of onsite technical property surveys, including legal disrepair, mutual exchange, property buy back and "Right to Buy" surveys. **The duties**: - To provide a full pre and post contract building service from inception to completion - To prepare specifications, scope of works, bills of quantity, drawings and all documentation ensuring that NCH standards and current legislation is achieved - You will and produce detailed reports and recommendations to effectively evidence and support the surveying process - To undertake all duties relevant to pre and post contract administration of construction related projects including setting up and managing contracts - To carry out site inspections during works in progress, and completion of works, ensuring that specified standards and quality are maintained - To monitor on site performance and take positive action where necessary to ensure the work is completed on time and within budget - Identify defects and remedial action and work with delivery colleagues and external contractors to deliver the necessary corrective actions - Utilise set procedures and systems to obtain tenders quotations and estimates for work as required, in line with Financial Regulations - Offer support and advice on proposed property alterations, improvements, extensions, environmental issues and planning disputes **About us**: Nottingham City Homes manages more than 27,000 homes across the city on behalf of Nottingham City Council.
