**About the role** Join Our Team as a Storeperson with Balfour Beatty Highways**
Are you an experienced **Storeperson** that is looking for an exciting new opportunity? This might be the role for you We are thrilled to offer a great opportunity for a skilled Storeperson to join Balfour Beatty Highways on the **M3 Junction 9 project**.
Role Purpose:
To ensure optimum running of the Stores and to be responsible for the issue and receipt of stock, equipment and fleet. Ensure that stock and plant levels are maintained in line with the business needs and deliver regular, comprehensive reports on stock levels, together with early warnings on limited availability of strategic stock.
Ensure the workforce have the tools and equipment they need to deliver the project, whilst maintaining an efficient control of stores stock. Deliver/manage the cataloguing of stock held at the project, segregation and grouping of materials and the safe disposal of redundant items.
**What you'll be doing**
- To co-ordinate and manage plant and stock ensuring all administration procedures are followed, and ensuring accurate stock management.
- Liaise with operational staff to ensure materials required for site are arranged and accessible in line with operational programme.
- Unload & load delivery vehicles.
- Check deliveries against advice notes and for quality, quantities & damage.
- Liaise with suppliers on the replacement/return of faulty/damaged stock.
- Order and issue materials, PPE, consumables, etc.
- Hire, accept and off-hire plant and equipment.
- Manage the calibration of tools & equipment (inc Lifting).
- Ensure the store is tidy at all times.
**Who we're looking for**
Essential:
- Knowledge of the Construction industry is essential
- Full clean driving licence
- IT Skills - MS Outlook, MSP & MS Word, Excel
- Ability to work in a team
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- CSCS Qualification
Desirable:
- Emergency First Aid At Work
- COSHH Coordinator Qualification
- Loadmaster qualification
- Telehandler competency
