his section should summarise the purpose of the role, its’ level of business responsibility and strategic input to the business Under direction of the Assembly Supervisor, you are responsible for the preparation, assembly and packing of products to our quality standards. You will also be responsible for the testing of some products prior to packing. **PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES**: - Maintain and promote safe working practices and environment to achieve a "SafetyFirst" culture - Demonstrate adherence to company rules, policies and values. - Assemble products to product specification and standards - Perform testing and appropriate documentation of all products to ensure adherence to the required quality standards - Responsible for inventory control - Perform visual inspection of manufactured components in compliance with our internal quality system - Pack finished products as required including all necessary product documentation, to our product specification - Actively supporting and implementing lean process improvement within the job role - Assist in executing the plan to ensure Seiki due dates and work order dates are met on time - Identify hazards and propose solutions to the management team for redress **REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**: ESSENTIAL: DESIRABLE: Experienced in assembly within an engineering environment Previous experience of working in a fast-paced engineering / manufacturing organisation Manual Handling Knowledge and Dexterity Fluent in English High level of numeracy Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills Results driven Pro-active, energetic, resilient and flexible **KEY INTERFACES FOR ROLE**: This section should identify the key interfaces with other roles/departments/customers the role holder has / required to have for this position. - Manufacturing teams - Quality Department - Warehouse team - Production Control **KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS**: These are quantifiable measures used to evaluate the success of the individual in this role. These should be tied to the performance objectives for the person in the role. - safety, number of near miss and lost time accidents - 100% Right First Time performance - 95% OTIF performance - 85% OEE performance - SIC achievement - Continuous improvement of material savings/material result - 6S Audits - EH&S Protocols - BSC Metrics The company may expect you to undertake other tasks outside of this job description.
