Working within Homefire Group, an opportunity has arisen for a flexible Yard Operative to join our Depot in Mossend on a permanent basis. Some overtime and Saturday working may be required.

The main purpose of this role is the day to day management of the Depot Goods Yard and associated plant, Delivery vehicle loading and driving, and Depot stock. To ensure the safe receipt, storage and management of all depot stock including weekly product checks, rotation of stock and preparation of stock for stock taking as required. To ensure the safe operation of the depot traffic management system and compliance by all staff and visitors to depot Health and Safety procedures.
- 2.5 tonne counterbalance FLT licence (ideally)
- Rough Terrain FLT (training can be provided)
- Telehandler License (training can be provided)
- Experience of basic mechanical plant safety checks.
- Experience of stock management and vehicle loading procedures.
- Good numeracy skills.
- Basic IT literacy and the ability to learn company systems.
- Good customer facing and customer service skills.
- Excellent housekeeping awareness and attention to detail.
- Must be a “team player” with the ability to work well under pressure and able to follow instructions.
- Previous experience in a transport or Goods Yard environment.
- Previous experience of Stock Management or Warehouse Management Systems.
- Previous Customer facing experience
