**Rotating shift pattern - one week days/one week nights - every week you have a Friday/Saturday/Sunday off**

A brand new exciting opportunity has become available for a Production Team Leader to join a successful, fast paced, manufacturer based in Leicester. Reporting into the Operations Manager who you will be closely working alongside your role will include maintaining good practice throughout the site and driving new safety improvements to ensure the day to day operation is where it should be.
Due to the nature of the products manufactured here on site, there are ATEX areas and the site is complex so therefore the individual who joins really needs to understand the safety on this site, looking after the 3 production lines, across as a team of 24 in total (12 across each shift).

**Your role will also include**:

- To maximise the quality of all products in operations driving down scrap and MUV and audit quality checks within the whole area.- To balance headcount and costs in line with volumes utilising staff flexibly across production areas when fluctuations in demand occur- To own the production schedule and remain disciplined in achieving the plan and in the correct order, challenge changes and expect improvements in change reduction.- To manage the whole team’s holidays, absences, disciplinary, training requirements, operational outputs.- Being able to problem solve and delve into improving processes where required- A background within a fast paced manufacturer where downtime isn’t an option would be ideal, i.e. bakery, packaging and corrugation, dairyThere is training and support on offer for the role, as the product is in a niche field and you can build up your knowledge to really understand the running of this plant. Culture fit is a massive part of this role, having the right attitude is key They want someone who wants to improve standards and can really add value to the business. Someone who can make a good stride on their compliance levels and also standards with staff. Behavioural audits are also an important part of the role, and the business require someone who can adapt and think on their feet - someone who can think logically.
