If so, our client is seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer - Solidworks to join their growing engineering team.

The Role

An exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer - Solidworks to join our experienced team. Principally you will be:

- Designing CNC enclosures and related fixtures and fittings (brackets, heatsinks etc).
- Working on custom designs for units that operate in challenging environments.
- Creating detailed designs, in line with company procedures, project timescales and cost estimates.
- Working with our electronic engineers, production and in-house metal work department to ensure the units are producible, maintainable and compliant to the stringent requirements of our clients.
- Have mechanical design experience using Solidworks or other 3D CAD design software.
- Be familiar designing for stress requirements (shock and vibration).
- Ideally have experience of designing mechanical parts for electronic systems.
- Ideally have knowledge of military aerospace, naval and land mobile requirements.
