The Operations Lead will define, implement, and execute Air Freight business policy development and pricing/tariff strategies to maximize profits and grow Air Freight market share on the assigned area being covered.
**Essential Job Functions**
- Lead operations team and disseminates activities on a day-to-day basis
- Drives product KPI compliance and milestone updates
- Supports relationships with key customers and key suppliers resolving concerns, interacting with customer service, operations and sales personnel to resolve any conflicts on a timely basis.
- Lead Customs operations and execution with the scope of the entire country
- Coordinates all transnational operations (Export, Import and Customs activities), adhering to regulations and internal procedures
- Ensures all Operations teams meet customer requirements and takes corrective actions in case of deviations from requirements
- Provides guidelines to Export, Import and Gateway to ensure transactional operations are consistent with group business strategy and compliant with the local business environment
- Monitors quality and adherence to standards and is responsible for constant improvement and optimization of product means
- Develops a high-performance service culture within the Export and Import Departments
- Ensures realisation of budgetary performance by setting and monitoring clear objectives
- Manages interface with Customer Service, Product, and Global Service Centres as required
- Directly supports, negotiates, and administers contracts with Airlines and vendors supporting the Air Product
- Develops and oversees the Air procurement strategy, approach and business rules for carrier selection and utilization
- Leads and directs engagement with carrier performance management
- Leads and directs station Exports, Imports and Energy personnel on observance of operating plans supporting the air product
- Accountable for results of a large multi-category department, supply chain, or complex product lines, ensuring that performance meets overall business needs, including strategy, cost, cost savings, direction, and people management
- Ensures performance meets overall business needs at a global and regional level

- Strategy and planning: an ability to think ahead and plan over a 12-24-month time span; strong customer orientation and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

**Education and Experience**
- Bachelor’s Degree/Business or relevant experience.
- Minimum of 4-5 years direct experience in 3pl freight forward and team managment
- Problem solving

- manages difficult client situations, responds promptly to client needs and welcome client feedback
- Quality management-look for ways to improve and promote quality and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness
- Professional certification may be required in some areas
**Experience**: Required
- 4 year(s): Bachelor’s Degree/Business or relevant experience minimum
- 4 year(s): Experience in 3pl freight forward and team managment
**Education**: Required
- Bachelors or better
