**What is a personal assistant?**

Personal assistants support individuals in their own homes as well as out in the community, helping them to live as independently as possible.

**The Role**

We require an enthusiastic and caring individual to assist a young man with complex health needs, to allow him to live as independently as possible and re-engage with his local community following returning home from college.

This role will require someone who can help plan meaningful activities, social gatherings and assist with all aspects of day-to-day living including:

- Preparing meals & Feeding
- Personal care
- Moving & handling
- Driving a wheelchair accessible vehicle

Full training will be provided but experience in working with someone who communicates non-verbally is desired.

A DBS will be paid for by the employer.

Shifts are 24hr blocks which include a sleeping night.
Rate of pay **£13.50ph**

**Salary**: £13.50 per hour
