**Management Accountant (FTC 8 to 12 months) - Liverpool - £40k - £45k with benefits - Hybrid working (Fully remote working may be considered)**

Based in Liverpool, our client is a large European business who is seeking an organised and dedicated individual to become part of their Finance Team as a Management Accountant on a fixed-term contract of 8 to 12 months. The business is experiencing a greatdeal of change, including a new system implementation; thus, they need an additional experienced pair of hands to support the day-to-day work as current staff are pulled away from their duties.

THE JOB:
You will primarily be responsible for the reporting and financial control for the Italy Online business unit, and various cost centres in the group, as well as providing day-to-day support to the Reporting and Control Manager on the year end audit, new coreaccounting platform implementation project and other reporting requirements as and when needed.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Produce monthly management accounts and weekly profit-flash reports to timetable
- Process and reconcile monthly payroll accounting entries for various payrolls within the group
- Oversee and support day-to-day transaction accounting to ensure compliance with internal policies, relevant GAAP and regulatory requirements
- Oversee P & L and balance sheet control for all companies as part of the month end close process
- Support the year end audit process, and act as a key point of contact for key financial statement areas
- Assist the implementation project for the Group’s new core accounting platform as needed
- Assist the general change management process by reviewing, re-engineering and streamlining financial processes to remove control risks and improve efficiency
- Manage and deliver all other internal and external reporting requirements in-line with compliance deadlines
- Provide financial support to the Country manager, FPA manager, and Tax Manager as required

THE PERSON:
Ideally you will be a CIMA/ACCA/ACA Qualified Accountant, but it is more important that you possess strong management accounting experience. Your experience will preferably have come from working in a large organisation and you will have strong communicationskills and an organised approach to work. We are looking for an enthusiastic self-starter who has strong commercial awareness and someone who is not afraid to propose and then drive change. An understanding of accounting in a multi-currency environment wouldbe advantageous but not essential.
