Logistics Team Leader

Role is based at Peterborough Site, Vicarage Farm Road, Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, PE1 5TP

**What you’ll get to work on**:
Working as part of a logistics team, you’ll supervise a small team including warehouse operatives, admin assistants and drivers whilst assisting the Manager, your focus will be operational control of warehousing / yard and transport functions for a nominated site. The role holder will plan and organise their own workload, balancing conflicting priorities with mínimal supervision.
The logistics supervisor will maintain an effective and compliant operation across all responsible activities and ensure adherence to all legal, operational and SHE procedures.

You will also be....
- Managing a small team of employees to meet operational needs
- Inventory Management of stock levels
- Filing and record keeping for Risk Assessments / Safe System of Work Documents
- Managing materials via SAP system and warehouse management systems
- ‘O’ license administration & control of compliance of Transport
- Accurate training records for Secondary Stores operations, including inductions for new starters and agency employees
- Working to site & contract specific SHESQ policies and procedures
- Point of contact for customer queries and requests
- Willing to travel to other warehouses/stores when required

**Who are we looking for?**:

- Experience of working in a similar role
- Required to hold a full driving licence
- Good communicative skills both verbally and in written form
- Be able to work on own initiative, proactive approach and can do attitude with excellent attention to detail.
- A knowledge of good practice relating to Health and Safety Regulations
- Data input and analysis skills
- Fleet compliance record keeping
- Knowledge of inventory stock management
- Logical thinking with the ability to resolve problems quickly and effectively
- A good level of numeracy and verbal reasoning.
