Fostering Team Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Fostering Team Manager to join an Ofsted judged 'GOOD’ Fostering Service in the West Country. The role will be office based in Exeter and you will oversee and manage the team aligned to this location. This role willbe instrumental in supporting the Service Manager in delivering the organisation’s Fostering Service Business Plan.
The Fostering Team Manager will help shape, influence, and implement the future growth and development of the Fostering Services within Exeter, Torbay, Devon, and Plymouth working closely with the Service manager for this region.
There will be some requirement to travel occasionally for panel, support groups and training events and as part of the Fostering Service Operations Management Group.
The Fostering Team Manager should be able to demonstrate a dynamic approach to the growth and sustainability of the service and evidence a creative eye for opportunities to expand the service. The organisation will also require the post holder to work withthe team manager in Truro to cover, on occasions, Panel business. The role will also require providing a Quality Assurance role for Annual Reviews and Form F assessments.
Applicants for the Fostering Team Manager role should ideally have a sound knowledge of the Fostering Regulations and National Minimum Standards along with strong leadership qualities and a passion for improving outcomes for children.
You will need to be a social work England registered Social Worker and either hold a management qualification or be prepared to undertake training to achieve this within the first year of appointment.
This is an exciting, but demanding opportunity for someone to continue to build on an established fostering team. This will require someone with Vision, Energy and strong Leadership and Management skills to achieve what we expect of the service in the future.

**You will have**:
- The desire to be a team player who wants to achieve best possible outcomes for all children and foster carers
- Experience of working in the fostering sector and/or children/young people in social care
- A formal social work qualification
- Be registered as a social worker with Social Work England
- Have a valid driving license
- The right to work in the UK
