**Lead Cloud Services Platform Engineer at hybrid television platform**

An innovative TV platform is looking for a Lead Cloud Services Platform Engineer to help them deliver their vision, build the most optimal cloud-based solutions.

This is a permanent role based in London with mostly remote or hybrid opportunity. It is expected that you will be in the office just once in a week. They are paying up to £105,000 + up to 20% potential bonus. They also offer notable benefits including PensionPlan, Private Healthcare and Flexible working.

You'll be working for a company that provide TV services for over three million households in the UK. They have partnership with BBC, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Sony, Sky Atlantic, TalkTalk TV and some more.

Their tech stack includes Go (golang) and AWS.

**Responsibilities**
- Run key elements of the production environment by monitoring availability and taking a holistic view of system health
- Work in tandem with their development teams to identify and implement the most optimal cloud-based solutions for the company
- Participate in system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning
- Manage cloud environments in accordance with company security guidelines
- Develop creative solutions and functional prototypes to demonstrate proof of concept and to enable rapid confirmation of design ideas
- Take proof of concepts to full production systems
- Manage a small team of Cloud Application Engineers
- Take part in an out of hours on call rota

**Required Skills**:

- Ability to program with one or more high level languages, such as Python, Go, Clojure or JavaScript
- Strong experience with AWS services such as ECS, CloudFormation, Lambda, Kinesis, DynamoDB, IoT, RDS etc
- An excellent understanding of CD/CI systems (we use CircleCI and Jenkins)
- Infrastructure as Code automation experience with Cloudformation
- Experience designing and building RESTful APIs
- A proactive approach to spotting problems, areas for improvement, and performance bottlenecks
- Experience of leading a team of 3 - 5 engineers with a focus on efficient software delivery and growth through coaching and mentoring
