**THE MATHS TEACHING ASSISTANT POSTS INFORMATION**:

**QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED TO FILL THIS MATHS TEACHING ASSISTANT ROLE**:

**HOURS OF EMPLOYMENT**
- 8am - 3.35pm Monday - Friday
- Full-time ideally

**WHAT DOES THE MATHS TEACHING ASSISTANT ROLE INVOLVE**:
The teaching role includes supporting the class teacher and students during lessons, 1:1 session, intervention groups and working with other departments. The lessons will have delivered to all year groups Key Stage 3, Key stage 4, and the desire to workwith Key Stage 5 is preferable but not essential.

**WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF MY ROLE AS A MATHS GRADUATE TEACHING ASSISTANT?**
As a teaching assistant, you will be exposed to students of various abilities, you will need to analyse data and build up your ability to raise attainment using skills, lesson plans, numeracy, and literacy tasks to raise attainment. Again, this will build yourknowledge of how students are monitored, data is analysed, and attainment is raised, and students are managed more effectively by teachers. As a Maths graduate teaching assistant, you'll learn and implement strategies to support students engage with the curriculum.
