Internal Quality Assurer - (Internal/External) £24,000 - £26,000 per annum

Together with the National Logistics Academy, we provide support and development to help people and change lives and work with some of the biggest brands in the country, including Wincanton, Aldi, Travis Perkins and Eddie Stobart. Our organisation works with over 600 Apprentices, supports over 3500 people get back to work and improve their life chances and mental health and trains over 1000 people to become HGV drivers each year.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Internal Quality Assurer to join our team. This position is a full-time role, working 37.5 hours a week (will also consider Part-time working - at least 10 hours per week) based in Middleton, Greater Manchester.

The Role

The purpose of the role is to ensure that assessment decisions are consistent across all qualifications by checking that assignments are fit for purpose and for sampling assessment decisions. The role is responsible for monitoring the quality of assessor performance, identifying assessor development needs and facilitating assessor development to maintain and improve the quality of assessment, as well as ensuring documentation and records meet quality and regulatory requirements.

Your duties will include but will not be limited to:
Developing others
- Develop trainers and assessors sharing best practice and providing support in gaps in knowledge
- Observe trainer and assessor performance and provide developmental feedback, support and sharing of good practice

Monitoring, Sampling & Standardisation
- Plan and prepare monitoring activities according to the requirements of own caseload
- Sample assessment records, learners’ work and assessment decisions
- Facilitate the standardisation of practice
- Support centre lead with standardisation meetings in accordance with awarding body requirements

Documentation & Approval
- Ensure all documentation relevant to assessments is submitted accurately and timely to ensure fully compliant external verification visits.
- Determine whether assessment processes and systems meet and operate

according to quality requirements
- Support with centre/qualification approval, post approval and development visits to centres

Quality Assurance Development
- Monitor and make recommendations on the resources needed to evaluate the assessment process
- Support effective quality assurance and quality improvement arrangements in the area of responsibility and constantly seek to identify and adopt best practice approaches

Completions and Claims
- Ensure all learning platforms are updated to account for internal quality assurance processes
- Support stakeholders across the business with data required for successful funding claims provision
- Work within agreed SLAs for completion of quality assurance processes
