Graphic Packaging International is a Global FMCG manufacturer with 40 Converting sites across Europe, and are Carton Industry Leaders in Packaging Design and Innovation.

We have an exciting vacancy for Print Assistant working as a member of the Print Department. The main responsibility for this position is the setting up of, and supporting the smooth running of printing machines in order to provide high quality printed product safely and efficiently.

**SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES**

You will receive instruction from the Print Operator who you will be expected to support. You will work and follow standards provided for each job, in order to achieve the highest quality print possible. You will work to operational targets; keep waste levels to a minimum, carry out appropriate quality checks, record and control materials used, i.e. ink, board, blankets and varnishes.

You will be given training in a wide range of tasks from general housekeeping, make ready activities, preventative maintenance duties, stock maintenance checks, continuous improvement, problem solving and operational tasks.

As a member of a small team you will be expected to cover an amount of absenteeism and holidays as needed and will perform any other duties as and when required within your training and capability. A high degree of personal flexibility will therefore be required.

You must be prepared and willing to undertake training.

This is a shift position and salary will be commensurate with skills and experience.

**SKILLS/QUALS**
- Full working knowledge of Bobst Machinery
- Working knowledge of stripping and blanking essential
- Computer literate
- Ability to work under strict deadlines and targets

**INTERPERSONAL SKILLS**

Excellent communication skills essential, ability to give clear written and verbal instructions.
- Good understanding of procedures and processes.
- Highly responsible, reliable and flexible with a strong work ethic
- Punctual, presentable and with good attendance

Hours of work - Continental shift pattern - 12 hours shifts, 3 per week (explained at interview)
