The Academic Services Coordinator is a critical member of the College team and plays a lead role in the student experience with regards to Academic Services, Academic Development and College Infrastructure. They will have excellent organisational skills,an eye for detail and be able to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external stakeholders in a cross-functional environment.

They will support the Manager of Academic and Support Services and work closely with colleagues, internally and externally, academic staff and senior leadership to support academic provision for our students.

**Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 Per Annum**

**Academic and Student Support Duties**:

- Undertake UA92 Global timetabling by working with UA92 counterparts and making use of the university’s timetabling system
- Coordinate activity related to UA92 Global assessment board and the transfer of relevant data
- Coordinate Exam and Assessment arrangements including the ua92 Global reassessment periods
- Ensure that student facing information and teaching materials on the VLE are accurate and complete
- Ensure the provision of information to students is accurate, up to date and timely.
- Work with the team to make sure that student data is complete, up to date and maintained accurately on our student records system throughout the student life cycle, and that such data is protected according to the GDPR regulations and guidance.
- Support the Academic elements of any support provision, such as: through the identifying cause-for-concern students through the predicted grades exercise, the planning and delivering of academic support workshops for students, and the reporting, as appropriate,to sponsors and other stakeholders.
- Support the recruitment, onboarding and management of the academic teaching team
- Work with relevant Partner Departments to ensure the information between the two organisations is effective and accurate, and within GDPR guidelines.
- Support the development of policies and procedures as related to academic provision.
- Support the College team in other student-related activities, such as enrolment and orientation activities.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly reports on academic issues and trends inclusive of recommendations
- Other duties that may be reasonably required by the College Management Team

**Academic and Student Support Requirements**:

- University level qualifications
- Experience in academic and programme administration.
- Experience in Further/Higher Education student focused environment
- Good understanding of Higher Education Academic Processes
- Experience of working in a customer services/ education front of house service
- Successful coordination of processes and procedures
- Proven ability to organise own workload and to cope with a variety of task demands
- Strong verbal and written English language communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, interacting with a variety of cultural and ethnic stakeholder groups, including senior staff
- Strong computer literacy skills
- Good understanding of the process and importance of file management
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of equal opportunity, equity and workplace health and safety principles
- Strong attention to detail - particularly with regards to understanding policy and procedure
- Have the ability to direct and communicate with staff and students from a diverse range of cultural and educational backgrounds
- Good data analysis and presentation skills
