Railscape Head of Recovery

**Duties**:

- Undertake routine inspections for all company recovery and maintenance vehicles, and ensure staff maintain a high degree of cleanliness and care for all vehicles.
- Ensure weekly vehicle health checks are undertaken on recovery and maintenance vehicles and report to Railscape fleet manager.
- Ensure fleet availability to meet all ET requests/ needs by Railscape operations nationally (captured above).
- Work with relevant managers in order to understand and meet immediate and future vehicle and staffing requirements.
- Monitor and ensure vehicle recovery courses and training qualifications i.e. PCV licences, IVR competencies are communicated to fleet/ head office ensuring company compliance with ET regulations.
- Assist in procurement process for all new recovery and maintenance vehicles to ensure all operational requirements are met.

Rostering of recovery staff so that level of resource meets ET requirements at all times.
- Good housekeeping across all recovery facilities including portacabin and yard.
- Point of contact for ET for additional taskings, informing manager/ necessary line mangers of additions.
- Responsible for minor HR requirements i.e. staff have access to correct PPE, appropriate annual leave cover etc.
- Assist in other duties as and when required i.e. road sweeping, litter picking, bin emptying.
- Responsible for the stocking of consumables i.e. maintenance spray, cable ties etc.
- Creating a positive safety, best practice and share culture amongst fellow colleagues.
- Responsible for winter road maintenance preventative actions & co-ordinating snow clearances in conjunction with the client.

**Requirements**:

- Strong health and safety awareness/ NVQ or equivalent qualification
- Vehicle recovery and maintenance experience mandatory.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Experience of working in a reactive, public facing environment.
- Good computer and information processing skills.
- Full UK driving licence with C + E Category.
- Successful applicants will be required to provide checkable and reliable references.
