The Best Connection are currently looking for a Counter Sales Assistant to join their busy client based in Dartford.

We are seeking a motivated Counter Assistant to join our busy team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our valued customers, providing advice and assistance on their timber selections.

Key Responsibilities:

- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Maintain a tidy and organized counter area, ensuring a welcoming environment.
- Handle point-of-sale transactions and process payments efficiently.
- Collaborate with our team to maintain adequate stock levels and inventory organisation.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience working with timber products is preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills and a friendly demeanor.
- Willing to learn, must have good communication skills and a can do attitude.
- Strong numerical ability for accurate measurements and calculations.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
- Punctuality, reliability, and a proactive approach to tasks.

This role is Monday to Friday 8am till 5pm and every other Saturday

Pay rate is £10.50 - £11.00 depending on experience

**Benefits & Requirements**:

- Hourly rate as above (not age dependent)
- 28 days Paid Annual Leave pro-rata for PAYE (inclusive of statutory holiday)

- Possible permanent position following a successful trial period
