This role presents and excellent permanent opportunity for a **Quality Technician** to join our client who is an Automotive Component and Accessory Manufacturer based in Daventry. They are open to different levels of experience as training willbe offered where needed.

This is a leading role in testing and inspecting incoming and internally produced parts to the desired specification, assisting quality and production engineers in resolving manufacturing issues and reporting on quality issues and ensure management systemsare adhered to

Work in a team environment to install best practices with an emphasise defect prevention and a reduction in variation and waste, as well as supporting New Product Introduction (NPI), Engineering Change Request (ECR) and Continuous Improvement (CI) activities.

Plan within the immediate tasks assigned, contributing to project milestones. demonstrate initiative and moderate problem solving within assigned tasks.

**Quality Technician Key responsibilities**:

Undertake quality control activities such as part inspection, fault identification and stock sorting.
Ensure products flow through the inspection room.
Manage inspection and non-conformance records.
Read trend data to identify patterns and systematic quality concerns.
Identify and raise issues that could lead to the manufacture of unacceptable product, stop production where necessary.
Manage all quality concerns within the business (inc, Customer, Supplier, and internal concerns).
Work with internal and external stakeholders to resolve quality issues quickly and as efficiently as possible.
Investigate quality issues and identify route causes as well as contributing to the implementation of interim corrective actions (ICA) and permanent corrective actions (PCA).
Lead regular inspection meetings, highlighting key quality concerns, identify quality “Hero” and establish actions to improve product quality.
Support in Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) activities such as, material testing and producing initial sample inspection reports (ISIRs).
Support in ensuring documentation such as control plans, Standard operating procedures (SOPs) and route cards are implemented and maintained effectively.
Conduct product and process auditing.
Ensure compliance to management systems inc ISO9001, IATF16949, ISO14001, ISO45001.
Monitoring and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) inc, Scrap, Rework, Parts per million (PPM) as well as Quarantine and inspection turnover.
Support and participate in Continuous improvement (CI), New product introduction (NPI) and Engineering Change Request (ECR) Activities.
Manage calibration processes and records and undertake routine maintenance for measurement equipment.
Actively works toward achieving six sigma green belt qualification (if not already certified).

**Relationship management**:

Coordinate with other technicians and engineers to achieve tasks.
Learn to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Liaise and communicate effectively with other departments and at all levels.
A commercial and financial awareness, understanding the impact of quality, customer satisfaction and future orders.

**Quality Technician Qualifications and Experience**:

HNC/ A-level qualified or equivalent in a relevant engineering or technical discipline.
Computer literate especial, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Experience in a CAD package desirable. (Solidworks, AutoCAD, Catia or other)
Experience in measurement software. (Knowledge of Polyworks and or V-tube desirable)
Understanding of management systems desirable. (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, ISO 45001)
Six sigma green belt certified desirable
