**THE BUSINESS**
The Nest at Little Verzons Farm is a unique hospitality site consisting of a Farm Shop, Café, Events venue and Garden Centre. Set in 14 acres of beautifully re-wilded farmland, our outdoor space consists of a mature heritage orchard along with woodland and a lake all connected by nature trails. Championing local craft, food and drink, The Nest is an eclectic family run business owned by the award winning Handmade Scotch Egg Company. Our cafe is open 7 days a week and proudly sells our handmade cakes daily, along with other seasonal dishes.
**ABOUT YOU**
You will have a love for food with cakes and patisserie as your primary passion, along with a decent knowledge of how a kitchen operates. Demonstrating the ability to work independently and as part of a team, you will ensure every cake you bake is on spec and baked to absolute perfection. We’ll teach you all about the business and our seasonal favourites, whilst you bring some new exciting ideas to the table.
**THE ROLE**
We are looking for an experienced Baker to join our expanding Kitchen Team to assist in the smooth running of the department. With the advantage of working straight shifts, we require full flexibility with the ability to also work weekends. Previous experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment or hospitality and catering industry would be highly advantageous.
**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**
Assisting in the preparation of all cakes served in our shop and cafe
Ensuring a clean and tidy workspace at all times
Assisting the Kitchen Lead in ordering, cleaning and due diligence in line with Food Safety standards
In the absence of the Kitchen Lead, ensuring a smooth service in the kitchen
Hours: 24 hours per week plus overtime, weekend work will be required on a rota basis.

**Salary**: £10.00 per hour

- 8 hour shift

**Experience**:
- Baking: 1 year (preferred)
