**Faculty / Directorate**

The Business and Law Placements team forms part of our wider Careers and Employability team, and sits within the Directorate of Student and Academic Services (SaAS). This directorate is responsible for providing a wide and diverse range of services to allour students including Admissions, Graduation, Student Welfare, Careers & Employability, Student Finance and Academic Quality.

The Business and Law faculty is the largest at DMU, housing a range courses from Law and Marketing, to Business Economics and Accounting & Finance.

**Role**

This is an exciting and rare opportunity to act as the strategic lead for placements in the faculty of Business and Law, liaising with faculty and wider university stakeholders, manage the placements team, and lead and develop the provision of sandwich placementopportunities for students in the faculty, working to ambitious targets as part of our expansion plans.

You will lead a busy office, driving a team to deliver a high impact, innovative service that engages and supports students into placements.

The role also leads on employer liaison to develop new placement opportunities for Business and Law students, including making external visits, attending business events and hosting employers on campus.

The role is on a full time (37 hours per week), permanent basis. The position can be carried out on a hyrbid basis with expectation of being on campus 2-3 days per week.

The Placement Manager role works jointly with the leads of the other faculty-embedded Placement Teams, and the Employer Relationship Manager, to deliver institution-wide strategic projects and events, supporting the overall aims of the Careers and EmployabilityService to deliver excellent graduate outcomes.
