Campus Supervisor

**Hours**: 40 hours pw (including match day)
**Job role**:
To work under the direction of the head groundsman. Provide leadership and direction to any grounds team member on a daily basis.
Coordinate maintenance jobs at the campus with the maintenance supervisor and manager.
Attend Prenton Park or other TRFC sites when needed by the Grounds or Maintenance team.
**Duties & responsibilities**:
- The Campus supervisor roles is to ensure the 1st team and academy pitches are maintained to a high standard.
- Oversee the maintenance and management of all playing surfaces, ensuring optimal conditions for training and matchdays.
- Assist with the preparation of the training ground, including mowing, lining, watering and fertilising the pitches.
- Maintain and repair grounds equipment and tools, ensuring they are in excellent working condition, this applies to general maintenance equipment as well.
- Manage volunteers and casual working staffs' hours and activities.
- Develop and implement seasonal maintenance programme for all grounds and playing surfaces.
- Look after junior members of staff in terms of health and safety and educational progression.
- Liaise with subcontractors for access and management of external contractor jobs and form a key relationship with them, all jobs need to be approved via our internal system (purchase orders).
- Report to head groundsman to ensure a solid structured pitch programme is in place.
- Keep a record of pitch maintenance activities and building maintenance activities
- Maintain the landscape of the campus, this includes pathways, bushes, gardens and 3g pitches**.**
**Skills, knowledge and qualifications required**:
- Knowledge of relevant Health & Safety Legislation
- Maintenance of sport turf surfaces
- Good attention to detail
- Good organisational skills
- Good management qualities and team skills
- Ability to work in high pressure situations and adapt to working conditions (e.g. weather)
- Ability to complete basic maintenance tasks, i.e. swapping lamps, decorate/repair small damaged areas, isolate and report anything too complex
- NVQ Level 2 in a sports turf management qualification or similar (e.g.4+years of experience)
- PA1+2 License (desirable)
