Our client are a fast growth ecommerce business.
They are looking for an experienced and analytical Stock Forecasting & Merchandising Analyst to join their commercial team
**The role**
This is both a strategic and operational role to maximise commercial opportunities through accurate stock management. This will involve planning and forecasting thousands of SKUs, maximise sell-through and achieving stock targets to contribute to maintaininghigh levels of customer experience. It is vital that forecasts are accurate and timely to help the business maintain a competitive commercial position.
**Role responsibilities**:
- Full ownership and responsibility for the forecasting and supply of products for the business
- Management of the total stock held in the warehouse at any one time, producing accurate bottom up
- Stock forecasts to provide confidence in forward cash position
- Refine, improve and maintain, the forecasting algorithms which underpin sales data based models for both long and short lead time purchases
- Regularly self-report on the merchandising performance and share this with the rest of the senior team
- Communicate with key external suppliers where necessary to manage their delivery performance
- Lead, motivate and develop the merchandiser and other members of the buying and merchandising team
**You’ll definitely have**:
- Strong analytic background with the ability to analyse the data and use the data to drive action
- Experience of working at advanced level on Excel - VLOOKUP and Pivot tables
- Leadership skills to lead a team and engage/influence multiple stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
- The ability to be resilient and tenacious to get results

- Pro-active & organised
- A flexible team player who doesn't mind 'mucking in' when needed
- Commercially aware and the ability to relate business needs and requirements in a compelling and understandable way
- An excellent communicator to instigate and maintain excellent working relationships with suppliers, third parties and cross business stakeholders
