**Trainee SEN Teaching Assistant**
An opportunity has come up in our client school in Bridgend for a Trainee SEN Teaching Assistant The school are looking for a Trainee SEN Teaching Assistant that is passionate about helping learners with additional needs and keen to work with learners inboth the primary and secondary phase of the school. This position requires no teaching assistant qualifications and contracts are available with the school
**Summary of Role**: Supporting learners throughout the school day with additional learning needs. The Trainee SEN Teaching Assistant will work closely with learners with different additional needs including Autism, Down Syndrome, ADHD, Speechand Language Needs and Sensory Impairments. Training will be provided on the job and through Teaching Personnel the successful applicant will have access to free and highly subsidised training courses.
**Hourly Rate: £11.83**
**Hours: 8.30am - 3.30pm**
**Requirements for the Role**:
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
Working 1:1 with learners with additional needs and in small groups within the class.
Supporting with personal care were needed
Providing nurturing support for learners
Leading small activities set up by the teacher
Helping to monitor learner progress for report writing
Supporting learners with feeding during break and lunch times.
Reducing challenging behaviour and monitor students throughout the school day
Bonding with learners and understanding Behaviour Plans
Helping with general classroom duties including tidying and cleaning

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
