**About this client**:
Zack (9) is a bright, active, and intelligent child. He enjoys swimming, baking, story time, being outside in nature and spending time with his family. Zack is incredibly determined, focused, and strives for his independence. He has Dystonic Cerebral Palsyand epilepsy. Zack is supported in the ethos of conductive education which means he is enabled by his support staff to be as independent as possible in all his activities of daily living. Zack uses eye gaze technology to express his feelings and wishes. Zackhas a supportive team of expert therapists who will teach you how to deliver his therapy programs.

**Overview of role**:
As well as supporting Zack with his communication and therapies, as his Waking Night Carer, you will use a video camera to monitor him throughout the night from another room so you can assess and support his seizures. Preparing his breakfast and lunch, foldinghis laundry and some other small tasks to help can be done whilst Zack is asleep. Once Zack wakes, he requires support to have breakfast, get dressed ready for school and get into the car or school transport. He requires a carer to join his team on Sundayand Wednesday night: 8.30pm-8.30am. £17.00 gross per hour weekdays and £19.00 gross per hour on weekends.

This job will suit an empathetic, caring, and proactive Waking Night Carer who enjoys working within a family home. You will need to be fit and healthy and have a genuine interest in learning and providing therapy. Zach’s parent/s will always be on hand andwithin earshot to help throughout the night if needed. It would be great if you are able and willing to travel with Zack and his family when they travel abroad in the school holidays, and that you hold a valid passport.
