**About the role**
As a Swimming Assistant, you will assist the lead coach in being responsible for the participants throughout the duration of the class, ensuring that appropriate screening of attendees is carried out and they are safe to participate, as well as maintaining records of attendance. You will liaise with the lead coach in order to develop the opportunities to increase participation, along with assisting in providing innovative and engaging sessions to participants, ensuring safety at all times within a fun environment.
**About you**
We will look to you to use your motivational skills to encourage customers to maintain attendance and deliver consistently high standards of instruction to all customers so that everyone fulfils their potential. You will need to hold a level one swimming qualification (or working towards) and have proof of continued professional development. You will also need to have insurance through the national governing body, and have a good knowledge and understanding of general health and safety policies.
