Youth Worker

As a youth worker you will be engaging with children aged 11-18 years and helping them overcome previous trauma, promoting independence, and supporting them daily. You should have an enthusiastic personality, working alongside a team to support and encourage the children in their day-to-day activities, enabling them to achieve their goals and ambitions by providing support and guidance in a nurturing and homely environment.
**Main duties**:
- To provide support and guidance to the young people acting as a positive role model
- Prioritise the needs of the young people and establish a positive relationship with them
- To undertake an in-depth quality and bespoke training package
- To work effectively as a team and to ensure smooth day to day running of the home
- Be flexible with shift patterns and have ability to do sleep-ins
- To attend staff meetings and be proactive in improving the service model
