Senior Caregiver

**Overview**:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Team Leader / Senior Carer to lead and support care staff in delivering safe, effective, and person-centred homecare. This role combines hands-on care with supervisory duties, ensuring service users enjoy the best possible quality of life while maintaining dignity, independence, and compliance with standards.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Supervise, train, and mentor care staff, including shadowing new starters.
- Support and monitor staff in the community, working with complex care packages.
- Assess potential clients and review care plans regularly.
- Manage on-call duties (every third week of the month).
- Cover staff absences and ensure continuity of care.
- Work with management to improve quality and compliance.
- Monitor and maintain medication supplies in clients’ homes.
- Conduct risk assessments and create tailored care/support plans.
- Ensure confidentiality, health & safety, and compliance with regulations.
**Schedule**:
- 3 long days in the field (10 + 12 + 12 hours) plus 2 office days (4 hours each).
- If working a weekend, two weekdays will be taken off.
- On-call duties every third week of the month.
**Requirements**:
- S/NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
- Proven experience in a senior care or supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of homecare needs, care planning, and safeguarding.
- Compassionate, respectful, and committed to non-discriminatory practice.
- Excellent organisation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable, well-presented, and self-motivated.
- Valid driver's license may be required for transportation purposes.
- This is a non-sponsorship job.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £30,000.00 per year
