**Description**:
The Estates department is often the first point of contact for visitors, therefore, taking pride in the level of customer service on offer is essential.

We are currently seeking a Facilities Team Leader to deliver outstanding customer service to all our stakeholders, as well as providing operational support to the team who consist of porters and cleaners across university sites. (This is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract)

**About the Role**:
You will play a key role in leading and motivating a diverse team to deliver exceptional service for our students, staff and visitors.

You’ll coordinate operations via our Works Management System, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently while collaborating with departments to meet stakeholder expectations. Responsibilities include maintaining a safe and secure environment, managing team rotas and absences, supporting recruitment and training (including COSHH and health & safety), and assisting during peak periods such as term starts and events.

You’ll also oversee service audits, respond to feedback, and provide hands-on support where needed.

**About You**:
You will be an experienced manager with strong supervisory skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. You will excel in planning, organisation, and problem-solving, with excellent communication skills—both written and oral.

Proficiency in IT, including Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, is essential, alongside a highly customer-focused approach and the ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues and other teams across the University.**Health and safety knowledge and experience are also essential to undertake this role, and there is an expectation that you keep up to date with legislation.

You will thrive under pressure, adapt to changing priorities, and collaborate seamlessly with the wider Estates Team. You will be confident, proactive, and committed to maintaining our high standards.

**Additional Information**:
**Salary: Grade 5, £29,179 to 32,546 per annum**

**This is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract.**
