An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent Family Network Coordinator to join Medway’s Family Group Conference team.
Often there are wider family relationships and networks that exist and can provide much-needed help when families experience challenging problems. These relationships can be a source of practical support that allow parents and carers to increase their capacity to meet the needs of their children and young people in emergency situations.
This is an excellent development opportunity to increase your skill set and knowledge of Restorative Approaches, relationship-based practice and achieving best outcomes for children and their families.
You will be joining a service who are committed to achieving the best outcomes for Children, Young People, and their Family Networks. You will receive support and be managed by the Family Group Conference Team who will also provide you with formal supervision, support, and training. You will work across Medway services to collate and support the systemic practice of Family Network meetings across Medway services.
**The Family Network Coordinator will.**:
- Plan and facilitate family Network meetings in accordance with nationally agreed standards of practice.
- Arrange contact with families, including extended family members and family networks, to prepare for the family Network meeting. Working towards quick timescales.
- Undertake all relevant organisational activities which will include arranging the family network meeting, facilitating the running of the meeting, producing the plan, collating, and sharing correspondence from the meeting.
- Prioritising workflow to ensure immediate response can be given when complex priority cases are referred.
- Work with Medway Services colleagues to ensure the systemic use of family network meetings across Medway.
The Multi Disciplinary Service are seeking a Family Network Coordinator to join the Family Group Conferencing Team at level A. This is the entry point of the role, so you will need to be able to demonstrate the relevant knowledge, experience and skills to get you started, but you will be supported to develop in your role through induction, probation and a supportive Performance Appraisal and Career Conversation. All elements of level A listed within the person specification are essential. Through your induction you will be introduced to the Career Progression Framework (CPF), which will help you to identify your areas of strength and any development needs.
