Looking for a fresh challenge, being part of a team who deliver critical back-up power to people and businesses when they need it? Due to exciting new utility company contracts and expansion of our own fleet of generators, we are looking for experienced general operatives / drivers to add to our existing team of operatives and engineers in our Rental / Service teams. If you have mechanical or electrical experience and driving and/or towing experience that would be ideal.

Mainly field-based and also working from our Depot in Dundonald, Ayrshire, you will be reporting to the new management structure in our Ayrshire office. You will be mainly assisting to deliver our generator rental frameworks as well as assisting with the logístical needs of our service team and our breakdown response work at our customer’s sites and also at our workshop in Dundonald. Most of your work will be in Central and Southern Scotland however you may occasionally also be working throughout the UK.

Your duties will include the following:

- Assist engineers and office staff to prepare equipment for jobs
- Fill generators with fuel and Ad Blu
- Tow generators and equipment to site and then collect and return
- Pull cables and equipment into position on site then recoil / collect and bring back in at end of job
- Carry out refueling of generators on hire
- Assist with keeping workshop clean, tidy and highly functional at all time
- Be part of the on-call rota to assist engineers if required
- Maintaining good housekeeping on site
- Completing all required records accurately and on time
- Ensuring the highest standards of health & safety and customer service
- Various other general duties

You will have:

- Previous experience of working in a similar role
- Previous experience of working on diesel generators would be beneficial but not required
- Full UK driving license
- CSCS / Safety Passport and / or Emergency First Aid would be beneficial but not required
- ADR training would be beneficial but not required
- Must be able to use own initiative as well as working as a member of the team
- Excellent customer and communication skills
- Great attention to detail and thorough with your paperwork
- IT literate, MS Outlook, Word and Excel, and ideally but not essential Syrinx and/or ScheduleIt
