You will have the chance to support the next generation of Blundellians, ensuring that each day their diet is as excellent as their education. **The Role** As the Catering Manager, you will oversee our catering operations across our Senior, Prep and Pre-Prep Schools. Line-managing a number of catering teams, you will be involved in everything from staff recruitment and training to the provision of consistently excellent food. Your duties will also include: - Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, policies and procedures - Serving as a member of the School Health and Safety Committee - Producing, monitoring, delivering and reporting on relevant KPIs - Drafting the annual catering budget and monitoring ongoing financial performance - Ensuring all kitchen equipment is in good working order and arranging replacements - Developing effective relationships with catering suppliers, contractors and stakeholders - Facilitating catering for profit-generating events **About You** To be considered as the Catering Manager, you will need: - Significant leadership experience in the catering or hospitality industries - Experience of high-volume, quality catering at a supervisory level - Experience of events planning and delivery - Experience of budget setting, monitoring and reporting along with effective cost control - Excellent employee management skills including recruitment, performance management and training - Excellent organisational and customer service skills - The ability to communicate effectively at all levels - Strong ICT skills, particularly with Microsoft packages including Word and Excel - A level 3 Food Hygiene certificate with an excellent understanding of HACCP and Health and Safety legislation Other organisations may call this role General Manager, Restaurant Manager, Hotel Manager, Food and Beverage Manager, Kitchen Manager, or School Kitchen Manager.
