Location: Burton on Trent, Staffordshire
**Salary**: £25,295 per annum or £12.43 per hour plus O/T
SUMMARY
Mechanical Assembly/Fitting for Loadbanks and Transformer Units.
THE ROLE
- Strong Mechanical Background (3+ years' experience)
- Read engineering drawings
- Use Pop riveters
- Carry out Drilling
- Rivnutting
- General Assembly
Typical activities include:
? Working with managers to implement the company's policies and goals.
? Mechanical and / or electrical assembly work. (As per experience, qualifications or training).
? Responsible for quality control. Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).
? Operating steel worker and copper punching and bending machinery once suitably trained.
? Operate forklift to maintain raw material supply for the production line. (If qualified).
? Complete daily production logs. (Time sheets).
? Identifying training needs.
? Communicate with other operators.
? Clean and maintain work area.
? General housekeeping and continual improvement activities.
? Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.
? Liaising with the Production Manager to maintain department production, quality and ISO9000 standards.
? Reporting any potential employee welfare problems to the Production Manager.
? Other Duties as assigned.
