In line with our mission, we are looking to recruita Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to work in our SRE team. The Role Your Challenge You should operate under the mentality of "Leaving things better than you found them." You will be working across multiple platforms, with SRE’s from different backgrounds and disciplines on a regular basis. You should be comfortable in migrating platforms into the Cloud with a particular focus on: - Costing - Architectural improvements - Updating compliance & governance documentation What you can do: - Offer support, guidance and growth in a very people-centric team - Enable and encourage people to "break free" of silos - Communicate clearly, frequently and effectively - Review and improve existing infrastructure components and patterns - garner buy-in from the wider SRE function and plan to execute. - Collaborate with development teams & other business stakeholders to deliver effective solutions - Recognise opportunities for automation and guide the implementation effectively - Understand a wide range of modern technologies, and be able to recognise how they may fit within any given platform context Who you are: - A Leader - You can effectively rally people toward a common goal and guide them through challenges to ensure they are always able to deliver at their best. - Operationally excellent - Well versed in "all things" operations & SRE. - A Facilitator - You know how to put the right people in the room to get to the best business outcome. - Curious - you ask why without just blindly accepting the "norm". You set expectations and deliver accordingly. - A Cloud Evangelist - You understand the value of cloud-based technologies, and where appropriate, strive to instil them as a standard You are very skilled/experienced with: - Public Cloud Providers (AWS preferred) - "Legacy" Datacentre providers/approaches (Rackspace, RedCentric, Co-lo etc) - Complex business topologies - Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred) - Config Management Tooling (Ansible & Tower preferred) - Industry security & compliance standards
